Funding Background

SandBox is a BrainTech company with a vision of "expanding human potential through brain analysis," and its strengths lie in the trinity of neuroscience, psychology, and artificial intelligence. The company has been supporting user research for product development, mainly for manufacturers of food products and consumer goods. In response to the growing need for easier analysis of the design of product packages, etc., the company has decided to raise funds this time to promote the development of eye gaze and emotion estimation technology.

Comments from investors

Mr. Takahiro Oka, President, Japan Startup Support Association

It has been about two years since I first met Mr. Kikuchi, the representative of the company. At that time, he was mainly engaged in contracted business and R&D, but from there he has involved powerful engineers and researchers to create his own service, and the speed of change and pivoting in the process is amazing. I believe that services based on biometric data such as human emotion and eye movement have the potential to provide powerful support for corporate decision making, and I look forward to their rapid growth in the future.

Mr. Yasuhiro Tamaoka, Deep Core Inc.

Since January 2020, I have accompanied CEO Kikuchi and CTO Nishimura in the KERNEL community operated by DEEPCORE. During this time, the business has grown dramatically through several business pivots and by facing customers and gaining various insights. Based on computational neuroscience, the business of predicting sales from design is expected to be used across a wide range of industries and sectors. While technically challenging, we believe we have the team to make it happen. Once again, we are very pleased to be a part of the future that SandBox is aiming for.
