The Tokyo Startup BEAM Project is an accelerator program sponsored by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) in collaboration with supporting organizations, which aims to create a virtuous circle (ecosystem) that enables hardware startups to give shape to their ideas and grow in a short time.
DMM.make AKIBA has been supporting numerous hardware startups in terms of development base, business, and technology as a Tokyo Metropolitan Government-approved incubation facility. This time, in support of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's initiative, DMM.make AKIBA will provide support in terms of facilities, know-how, and technology to the selected companies to be selected in the fall of 2020 as a program partner. The company hopes that participation in this project will accelerate the creation of an ecosystem and give birth to startups that will create new value for society.

About "Tokyo Startup BEAM Project

In recent years, the value of shipments, etc. and value added by the manufacturing industry in Tokyo have been on a downward trend, and the manufacturing industry is facing a difficult situation. In order for the manufacturing industry in Tokyo to further develop, it is necessary to foster a large number of excellent start-ups that will become new leaders in the industry. On the other hand, hardware startups (manufacturing ventures) that have just been established have ideas and core technologies, but they lack the facilities, funds, and know-how to bring their ideas to fruition. This project aims to take the first step toward making Tokyo the "hardware capital of the world" by creating an ecosystem to address this issue.
