Background of the Program
In recent years, attention has focused on Web3, where individuals and companies can securely connect with each other and co-create new value in the digital space by utilizing distributed network technologies such as blockchain.
As Web3 enables more free and open communication and utilization of information, and as value is visualized, distributed, and shared, it is expected to create new business models and solve various social issues by taking advantage of Web3 features such as "easy participation," "clear rights," and "visualization of value. The Web3 is expected to create new business models and solve a variety of social issues.
Overview of Fujitsu Web3 Acceleration Platform
Fujitsu has developed "IDYX" (Note 4), a mechanism for distributed data distribution and data wallet (Note 3) that can prove the authenticity of digital IDs and data, and "Chain Data Lineage" (Note 5), a ledger database mechanism based on blockchain, as elemental technologies for Web3. Chain Data Lineage" (Note 5), a ledger database mechanism based on the blockchain.
In March 2023, Fujitsu will begin offering Data e-TRUST, a set of trust functions consisting of IDYX and Chain Data Lineage, as part of Fujitsu Computing as a Service (Note 6, hereafter "CaaS"), a service group that makes advanced computing and software technologies easily accessible to everyone. Data e-TRUST", a trust function group consisting of "IDYX" and "Chain Data Lineage" on "Fujitsu Computing as a Service" (Note 6, hereinafter "CaaS"), will be available in Japan.
In addition, Fujitsu's advanced technologies such as Transparent Trust Technology (Note 7) and Connection Chain (Note 8) will be added to this group of trust functions, The Web3 platform will be provided to partners who co-create new Web3 services, from planning to demonstration experiments, as an environment and venue for building an ecosystem that enables individuals and companies to connect with each other with trust and realize safe and secure data distribution and utilization.
On this Web3 platform, valuable data is interconnected according to each purpose, and digital evidence such as content rights, contracts, transactions, and execution processes are highly analyzed and visualized to create new experiences and values through Web3 venues, which are then safely exchanged and shared, This will strongly support the construction of an economic sphere that safely exchanges, shares, and redistributes new experiences and values through Web3 venues.

1. Services and technologies provided by Fujitsu Web3 Acceleration Platform
In addition to "Data e-TRUST," which enables secure data distribution and utilization among businesses and individuals, Fujitsu will provide its advanced computing and application functions such as "Fujitsu Computing as a Service HPC" ("CaaS HPC") and "Fujitsu Computing as a Service Digital In addition to "Data e-TRUST," which enables the use of "Fujitsu Computing as a Service HPC" ("CaaS HPC") and "Fujitsu Computing as a Service Digital Annealer" ("CaaS Digital Annealer"), we will provide our advanced computing and application functions as API.
This makes it possible to present multiple scenarios (options) that lead to solutions to various social issues based on data for which trust is assured, utilizing advanced simulation and combinatorial optimization technologies.
Furthermore, on top of these "CaaS", we will provide functions in the research prototype stage that incorporate our advanced technologies related to Web3, such as transparent trust technology and "connection chain", as well as the services of co-creation partners as functions in stages.

2. Creation of new business through co-creation on the Fujitsu Web3 Acceleration Platform
In order to develop new Web3 applications and services utilizing this Web3 platform, and to experiment and practice the value they bring, we will provide a portal site and development environment to support development community activities. Through these activities, we, together with our co-creation partners, will study use cases, develop prototypes, and conduct demonstration tests for new business creation based on the following three themes, which are the keys to Web3.
(1) Realization of a co-creation society through decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs)
The project will be organized by autonomous consensus building among participants according to various objectives, and new Web3 services will be developed and implemented on a trial basis to promote the activities.
The contribution and value of each activity will be made visible, and the profit earned as a result of the activity will be distributed appropriately according to the level of the contribution.
(2) Rights management and utilization of digital content
To protect the rights of creators of digital content such as images and videos, we will develop and implement a new Web3 service that expands the distribution of digital content after verifying that it is authentic.
A new economic sphere will be created where various contents can be created and freely distributed through secondary creation and reuse by means of a mechanism whereby the rights of the creator and fair compensation can be obtained.
(iii) Realization of Digital Trust
To develop and implement new Web3 services on a trial basis to ensure information accuracy and trust, avoiding risks such as leakage of personal information and unauthorized transactions, in order to enable freer and more open communication and use of information.
The company will create a new society in which individuals and businesses can connect with trust by eliminating digital fraud and scams, and guaranteeing authenticity in all transactions and data/knowledge sharing.
Future Development
In conjunction with the gradual expansion of services on this Web3 platform from March 2023, we will hold a global planning and development contest to build and practice a DAO community and create new Web3 services as an initiative to further revitalize the development community. The contest will be held at the following locations: Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Nagoya, Osaka, and Nagoya.
By co-creating with startups, engineers, and academia that promote global and innovative initiatives in various fields such as finance, media, healthcare, and manufacturing, we will further strengthen the ecosystem building through this Web3 platform and accelerate the social implementation of Web3.
Comments from Yoshito Sudo, Representative Director, TC3 Corporation (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo)
We are very pleased to announce the launch of the Fujitsu Web3 Acceleration Platform. Fujitsu provides digital product development and AI development support services to enterprises utilizing the gig economy (Note 9). By participating in the "Fujitsu Web3 Acceleration Platform" and developing services in the Web3 domain and building a DAO community service, we will promote the world in which innovation can be realized through co-creation with the gig economy (= Gig Innovated. world), which is our goal. We will promote a world where innovation can be realized through co-creation with the gig economy (= Gig Innovated.)
Kwansei Gakuin University (Headquarters: Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture) Vice President, Director of the Organization for Information Technology Promotion Hiroyoshi Minami comments
Although Web3 is still in its budding stage, it has the potential to open up the next world. To realize this, it is important not only to research and develop advanced technologies, but also to create new services. In the education and research fields in the post-coronation era, responses to Web3 are also being sought. The University will also take on the challenge of using this platform for a variety of innovative initiatives and contribute to social implementation.
Comment from Mr. Hiroya Momikura, Representative Director of PocketRD Inc.
In light of the arrival of the era of "one man, one digital wallet," we offer "Digital Double," which allows companies considering Web3 business to use multiple types of NFTs (non-substitutional tokens) and build their business efficiently. Combined with Fujitsu's KYC (Know Your Customer) and security technologies, we provide our customers with a safe, secure, and clean environment for business promotion.
Comment from Mr. Hitoshi Sashida, CEO of SAKURA UNITED PLATFORM PTE. LTD. (Head office: Singapore)
Utilizing the expertise in tokenomics design and operation that we have accumulated through GameFi (Note 10), we are developing the "X-Fi" platform business, which links existing industries and consumers' daily activities with token finance. We believe that combining Fujitsu's Web3 technology with this platform will enable highly reliable transactions, and we will jointly study a wide variety of use cases.
