Linking Data with Spatial IDs. World-Class Urban OS Infrastructure

--Please tell us about Cube Earth's business.
waterweed (any insect of family Salticidae, esp. species Salix babylonica) We are,Company with patented technology that enables integrated management and processing of spatial data and advanced analysisIt is. Specifically, the surface of the earth, which is a sphere, is divided into squares and cubes, and a unique spatial ID is issued. We are developing a system that links these spatial IDs with all kinds of location information, such as road information, artificial distribution, and hazard maps for floods, earthquakes, storm surges, etc., and analyzes this big data.
Generally, when spheres are separated by squares or cubes, distortion occurs, but we have patented a technology that can separate them without distortion.
As an example, in March 2023 in Daito City, Osaka Prefecture,Linking hazard map data with residential data and welfare data, "Smart Disaster Prevention System - MAMORU"delivered to the customer.
Takeda What this will do is that when flooding occurs in a particular location, it will be possible to know if people living there can get to evacuation centers on their own. If those who cannot escape on their own are identified ahead of time, efficient search and rescue will be possible, leading to the protection of the lives and property of the residents.
waterweed (any insect of family Salticidae, esp. species Salix babylonica) There are many disaster prevention-related systems in the world, and many governments have already introduced them, but there have been no systems that can link data. However, our system is capable of data linkage, and we believe it can be used worldwide as a next-generation disaster prevention system.
The strength of this system is that it can be extended not only to disaster prevention but also to smart city systems. By introducing the system to municipalities with disaster prevention as a starting point, and linking it with various types of information, such as traffic data,DXing of municipalities and smart citiesWe would like to connect to the
In Europe, smart city demonstration experiments have started ahead of other countries, but the reality is that they are hitting a wall due to the lack of data linkage. That is why we want to popularize it as the foundation for a world-class urban OS.
--This time,Ando Hazama's Accelerator ProgramWhat were your reasons for applying to the
waterweed (any insect of family Salticidae, esp. species Salix babylonica) I have been asked for technologies and ideas that contribute to disaster prevention and mitigation and smart cities in the region,Perspectives on Future Urban DevelopmentI thought we would have a great affinity in the following areas. Personally, I also wanted to work with Mr. Ando Hazama because of the history of more than 10 years of service he provided to my real estate development company, which was founded in 2005.
--Please tell us why Ando Hazama adopted Cube Earth.
moat We promote sustainable management through contributions to the SDGs. When considering business from both economic and social perspectives, Cube Earth is committed toHigh potential for businessI thought that Cube Earth would be a good fit for us. In addition, we selected Cube Earth not only for its financial resources, but also because we believe that our network of sales offices and sales force can contribute to the expansion of Cube Earth's business.
Smart Disaster Prevention System" throughout Japan and around the world

--What specific collaborative projects are you working on?
moat We will invest the necessary funds to build the Cube Earth system, etc., and utilize our sales network.Smart Disaster Prevention Systems" for Municipalities NationwideSpreading the word.
In recent years, natural disasters have become increasingly severe, causing a great deal of damage not only in Japan but around the world. While disaster prevention measures are being implemented in many areas to prepare for earthquakes and floods, the soft aspects of disaster management, such as information sharing and communication methods of local governments, are still primarily analog. If we do not promote the digitization of the software, we will not be able to save lives that could have been saved.
In this regard, Cube Earth'sThe "Smart Disaster Prevention System" not only provides timely information on disaster damage, shelter operations, and the safety of evacuees in the event of a disaster, but can also be used offline, making it an effective system even during power outages. It is. We would like to support Cube Earth's business expansion as well as help in disaster prevention by spreading this information widely.
--Ando, you are expanding while utilizing Hazama's network.
moat We are asking each sales office to cooperate with us and support our sales activities by listening to the issues in each region. Introducing a system to a municipality is not something that can be accomplished today or tomorrow, so we would like to link this to the introduction of the system next year or the year after that.
Currently, it is a development of that,Demonstration for use in drone-related business and search for people in distresshas also begun.
waterweed (any insect of family Salticidae, esp. species Salix babylonica) To fly a drone from point A to point B safely and efficiently, it is necessary to plan when and along what route to fly and to manage where the drone is currently flying. To avoid overlapping flight plans and avoid collisions between drones, it is essential to build a drone operation management system.
Currently, however, flight paths are only indicated in terms of "points" obtained from data such as latitude, longitude, and sea level. Flight paths based on a large number of points may cause accidents, and the large amount of data makes efficient operation difficult.
If our technology is utilized there, for example, drones can be guided by separating the space with a cube of 3 meters square, so they can be controlled efficiently. That is why we entered into making an operation management system to control drones.
Takeda To add to this, we have found that the cube system is very effective in establishing "drone traffic rules" that are not yet in place. In order to alleviate the 2024 logistics problem as much as possible, we would like to utilize our technology to popularize the use of drones in society.

The speed of business expansion has increased significantly. Organizational development is also urgently needed.
--Did you encounter any difficulties or obstacles in the process of collaboration?
waterweed (any insect of family Salticidae, esp. species Salix babylonica) We are very grateful for all the support and assistance we have received, and we are running on gasoline, Ando Hazama, in Cube Earth. It's just,Organization is urgently needed to keep runningThis is a barrier we need to overcome. This is a barrier we must overcome.
Takeda Yes, we have. The business has expanded.Talent shortage problemI have been bumping up against a lot of problems. Mr. Horii has given me a lot of advice on these issues as well. He asked me what kind of people I should invite to join me, and how about asking university professors and students to cooperate with me.
moat I am concerned about that too, and I am trying my best to support Cube Earth as much as I can to help it grow, but I think I am putting a considerable burden on it as a result.
waterweed (any insect of family Salticidae, esp. species Salix babylonica) No, I believe the cause is our lack of inclusiveness, so as we grow and become more inclusive and absorb Ando Hazama's suggestions, there will be more synergy. I would be happy if you could keep an eye on us for a while longer.
--Ando: Hazama has been involved in an accelerator program for several years now and has been collaborating with various startups. How is the reaction within the company to this new challenge?
moat We are collaborating with various startups in various ways, but it takes time for them to penetrate within the company. It is not easy to spread the word simply by issuing a release for internal use, but by taking the opportunity to communicate directly to each branch office, the word is finally beginning to spread.
I believe that by marketing SEEDs in collaboration with startups to local governments, we can contribute to both our sales and the startups' growth.
Bringing Innovation to Social Infrastructure

--What is your outlook for the future?
waterweed (any insect of family Salticidae, esp. species Salix babylonica) We are experiencing an increasing number of natural disasters that we have never experienced before, so the first thing we need to do is toEarly nationwide introduction of "Smart Disaster Prevention SystemThe goal is to achieve the following
from thereEnabling municipalities to DX, smart cities, and building drone control systemsWe would like to use our technology in the construction of the new building and eventually in Ando Hazama's construction sites. We would like to simulate construction work in a virtual space, so that it can be done safely in a real space,New Ways of Working for Construction CompaniesI would also like to contribute to the
--It is likely to lead to solutions to various social issues.
waterweed (any insect of family Salticidae, esp. species Salix babylonica) Exactly,Technology with a wide range of applications to solve a wide range of social issuesThis will lead to the following. However, our business is meaningless without continuity, so we would like to expand our business steadily while building profits and achievements without any blips.
Takeda My ideal is to create a society where people around the world can live rich and happy lives by utilizing our technology.Contributing to a future where information can be used successfullyI want to do it.
moat Ando Hazama is,Create "new value" by realizing "new ways of working" and "expansion of capabilities" through DXThe "DX Vision 2030" is designed to achieve this goal. Digital twinning of construction sites and smart cities are major themes, not only for construction sites, but also for remotely operated, efficient construction projects.
I think Cube Earth is a system that can serve as a foundation for such a system, so I would like to see the "Smart Disaster Prevention System" introduced to municipalities nationwide first, and then gradually increase its functions to make municipalities DX and smart cities. Cube Earth is a technology that can bring about innovation in social infrastructure, so I would like to work together with them.
