CodeFox and Aki-takata City begin to use SPARKN to solve local problems!

CodeFox, a Web 3.0 related business, announced that it will support the efforts of Aki Takata City in Hiroshima Prefecture to solve local issues and revitalize the city by utilizing SPARKN, a problem-solving platform that leverages collective knowledge through open innovation!
By utilizing SPARKN to solicit ideas from a wide range of companies and individuals online, we aim to provide solutions from new perspectives that have not been available until now.

Background of SPARKN Utilization

As a startup from Hiroshima Prefecture, CodeFox has been working to become an igniter of innovation through SPARKN to promote the resolution and revitalization of regional issues from Hiroshima. We are now working with Aki Takata City on a social experiment utilizing SPARKN.

CodeFox is also taking on the challenge of "The Meet Hiroshima Open Accelerator Gov-Tech-Challenge," which matches startup companies with 15 cities and towns in the prefecture to promote DX and solve regional issues.

It is difficult to solve today's complex social issues adequately using only existing approaches and perspectives, and platforms such as SPARKN can bring together people with diverse backgrounds and expertise in a single place and leverage their collective knowledge to try to solve problems, thus enabling the development of innovative Innovative ideas can be expected. In particular, by bringing together the knowledge and skills of many citizens and startup companies to co-create solutions to issues faced by local governments, it is possible to gain sympathy for the issues and have them become givengoto.

By maximizing the potential of SPARKN and turning a pinch into an opportunity, we hope to contribute to the realization of a more attractive future as well as to the resolution of issues.

Contests to be held

In this attempt, we are planning to hold a contest regarding Furusato tax payment. Revenue from Furusato tax payment in local governments is truly a blessing in disguise and one of the major sources of income.

The amount of hometown tax payments in Aki Takata City has been increasing year by year, and we have been preparing returns that meet the needs of our donors in response to the numerous messages of support we have been receiving. The new "hands-on" gift with Mayor Ishimaru, which was released last month, was based on the messages we received, and the response was far beyond our expectations.

Through SPARKN, we intend not only to solicit proposals and ideas with impact, but also to use the event as a community to enhance Aki Takata City together with the participants.

Comment from Mr. Fumihiro Shindo, Representative Director

By being open about our challenges, we build our ranks and raise our expectations for solving them."
Aki Takata City truly embodies open innovation, and we have used it as a reference in the planning stages of our product. We are very pleased to have this opportunity to work with them. We hope to use SPARKN to solve local issues and build a demonstration and success story of true open innovation.
Hiroshima Prefecture, a region with advanced issues, is full of problems that can be solved through SPARKN. We aim to make this initiative a success and develop it as a role model to be spread to other regions.

Mr. Shinji Ishimaru, Mayor of Aki Takata City Comment

With the declining birthrate, aging population, and shrinking population, Aki Takata City is finding it difficult to maintain its social and economic structure. Therefore, we came up with the idea of utilizing SPARKN to solve local issues and revitalize the local community from a new perspective.

We expect that SPARKN, where we can connect with many people and borrow their wisdom, will be a great help to the city in promoting innovation. We only hope that the power of support will help the city move toward development. At the same time, we hope that this initiative will serve as a model case for other local governments and related organizations.

SPARKN Overview

SPARKN is a next-generation platform that opens up issues and leverages collective intelligence for innovative solutions.
Companies and local governments with challenges can hold contests with cash prizes on SPARKN to solicit solutions. This contest allows any individual or company to freely submit a solution, thus realizing true co-creation.
In addition, because it can easily involve supporting fans and startups with new perspectives, it can be used not only to solve problems, but also to acquire core fans and for long-term fan marketing.

This service leverages blockchain technology to provide a secure and inexpensive environment for online contests and open innovation that engages the general public.
