JICA x IDB Lab launches public call for TSUBASA2023! Toward solving development issues in Latin America and the Caribbean

Dream Incubator has been awarded the "TSUBASA Startup Collaboration Study" by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in collaboration with Brazil Venture Partners, and is supporting the "TSUBASA" program to discover and support Japanese startups aiming to expand their business into Latin America and the Caribbean region through IDB Lab*₎, an innovation lab of JICA and the Inter-American Development Bank Group. JICA and IDB Lab*₎, an innovation lab of the Inter-American Development Bank Group, are supporting the TSUBASA program, which aims to identify and support Japanese startup companies seeking to expand their business in Latin America and the Caribbean.
We are pleased to announce that the "Open Innovation Challenge TSUBASA2023" for this fiscal year has begun accepting applications from the public today!

Background and Overview

The Latin America and Caribbean region has seen a rapid revitalization of the startup ecosystem in recent years.
In FY2021, JICA, together with IDB Lab*₎, an innovation lab of the Inter-American Development Bank Group, launched "TSUBASA," a support program for Japanese solution holders with innovative ideas and business models that contribute to SDGs in the region, in order to take advantage of the environment surrounding start-ups in the region and to help Japanese start-ups develop businesses with development potential in the region. In FY2021, JICA, together with IDB Lab, an innovation lab of the Inter-American Development Bank Group, launched "TSUBASA," a support program for Japanese solution holders with innovative ideas and business models that contribute to the SDGs in the region. Through this program, we have selected and supported 8 companies in FY2021 and 11 companies in FY2022.
