Promote local development by appointing people with specialized skills in multiple fields to administrative positions.
As the social and economic climate changes dramatically due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection, local communities are faced with increasingly complex issues that require a rapid response to foster local brands, promote immigration and settlement, community development, welfare of the elderly, and promotion of municipal DX.
In order to realize a society where "no one is left behind" as stated in the SDGs, local governments are required to take various measures to address these issues in accordance with the needs of residents.
Therefore, in order to contribute to regional development by utilizing the knowledge of talented private-sector personnel to solve administrative issues, Another works is supporting the appointment of people with multiple jobs in the public sector by utilizing the "Compound Work Cloud for Public".

Message from Mr. Takashi Kubota, Mayor of Kakegawa City
Kakegawa City is promoting the development of a city where anyone can take on challenges at any time and any number of times, and where people can continue to learn throughout their lives, in order to realize the future vision of "Kakegawa, a city where hope is seen and where everyone wants to live" set forth in the Post-Corona version of the Second Kakegawa City Comprehensive Plan.
In order to remain sustainable as a city in the face of rapidly declining birthrates, aging society, and multiple deaths, it is important for not only the government but also citizens and businesses to work together to solve various local problems by utilizing their respective strengths, and to increase the number of people interacting with each other and migrating or settling in the area.
Kakegawa City is a pioneer in lifelong learning in Japan, and with "the teaching of Houtoku" deeply rooted in the local culture, everyone takes the initiative, trusting, supporting, and helping each other.
We invite you to join our staff and local residents in taking on the challenge of creating a sustainable community that makes the most of local resources in areas such as "utilization of historical buildings" and "expansion of consumption of organic agricultural products"!
Kakegawa City, Shizuoka Prefecture Outline

Kakegawa City is located in the western part of Shizuoka Prefecture, roughly in the center of the Japanese archipelago, and is surrounded by magnificent nature from the southernmost peaks of the Southern Alps (Mt. Yataka and Mt. Oo) in the north to the Sea of Enshu in the south.
Furthermore, Kakegawa is a city of 115,000 people with a well-balanced population of agriculture, commerce, and industry, taking advantage of its good transportation access, which is provided by the Shinkansen bullet train station and two Tomei Expressways.
In the Warring States Period, three castles, Kakegawa Castle, Takatenjin Castle, and Yokosuka Castle, were built as important strategic bases, and Kakegawa-juku and Hisaka-juku on the former Tokaido Highway flourished as lodging towns, with a history spanning more than 500 years.
