Tokyo Innovation Base, a major base for startups and supporters from Japan and abroad to gather and interact, is launched!

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government has announced the pre-opening date of the Tokyo Innovation Base, a major hub for startups and their supporters from Japan and abroad to gather and interact with the aim of sparking innovation from Tokyo!
TIB will develop events and support programs to connect with various players, such as friends, supporters, and senior entrepreneurs, who can encourage startups to take on new challenges.
In addition, we are widely inviting companies, organizations, universities, etc. to join us as "TIB Partners" to carry out these activities in cooperation with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.

Pre-Opening of TIB

(1) Pre-opening date: November 27, 2023 (Monday)

(2) Location: SusHi Tech Square, 2nd and 3rd floors

(3) Pre-opening event:
On the same day, startup professionals from Japan and abroad gather to disseminate the philosophy and initiatives of the Tokyo Innovation Base to a wide audience.

(4) Others: Details of the event will be announced later.
After the pre-opening, events related to startup support will be held regularly, and initiatives will be gradually expanded in preparation for the full-scale opening in May next year.

Main features of the Tokyo Innovation Base

A platform for startups to gather in one place and interact with other startups in Tokyo.
The program is designed to connect domestic and international startups and local governments nationwide with various support organizations, large corporations, universities, etc.
Startup professionals collaborate across organizational and positional boundaries to create new support programs, etc.
Provide a "hangout" where young people and students with ideas and dreams can make friends and engage in friendly competition.
Partner with startup centers, support organizations, investors, etc. around the world to mutually host company exchanges and events.

Recruitment of TIB Partners

(1) What is a TIB partner?
TIB is a non-profit organization that provides a forum for companies, organizations, universities, and other diverse players to collaborate with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government in the planning and operation of events and programs for startups, their support organizations, aspiring entrepreneurs, and students (hereinafter referred to as "TIB-approved programs") at Tokyo Innovation Base, utilizing their know-how, networks, etc., and in accordance with TIB's philosophy. The TIB is a group of companies, organizations, universities, and other diverse players who will collaborate with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government to plan and operate events, programs, etc. for startups, their support organizations, aspiring entrepreneurs, and students (hereinafter referred to as "TIB-approved programs") in accordance with the TIB philosophy.

(2) Application period
From Thursday, September 28, 2023 to Thursday, October 19, 2023 *Next call will be announced separately.

(3) Activity period
From the date of conclusion of the TIB partnership agreement to March 31, 2024 (with a renewal system)

(4) Services available to partners
The following services are available to partners free of charge for the implementation of TIB-accredited programs
Use of TIB's event space
Use of TIB fixtures, video and audio equipment, power supply, Wi-Fi environment, etc.
Administrative support for event and program implementation
