TGA 2022" and the Results of the Pitch Review Committee
TGA (Tohoku Growth Accelerator) 2022" is a program sponsored by the City of Sendai to support the growth of startups and new businesses, with the aim of creating a startup ecosystem and creating new role models that will "change the world from Sendai and Tohoku. The program is sponsored by the city of Sendai to support the growth of startups and companies trying out new businesses.
This year was the 6th year of the contest, and 70 startups applied. Of these, 15 passed the initial screening based on application documents and participated in a pitch judging session held in Sendai City on Friday, September 16, 2022, where they each gave a 3-minute pitch. As a result of the rigorous screening process, 10 companies were selected for TGA2022. The selected applicants will participate in lectures, mentoring, workshops, matchmaking with Silicon Valley investors and VCs, and local tours to promote their businesses.

One of the major features of TGA2022 will be the first joint program with Silicon Valley investors and VC professionals (Sendai Meetup and Silicon Valley Boot Camp). At the Sendai Meetup, investors and VC officials from Silicon Valley will be invited to meet with selected companies. In the Silicon Valley Boot Camp, selected companies will visit Silicon Valley and participate in local pitch events and social events to provide networking opportunities.
