About "Tokyo Machida Open Innovation Program

This program aims to co-create new businesses and services and innovate existing businesses by leveraging the diverse and abundant management resources of local companies based in Machida and surrounding areas in Tokyo and new ideas and innovative technology from startups across Japan.

In conjunction with the launch of this program, a dedicated website will be opened on the Creww website to begin soliciting collaboration proposals from startups nationwide.
The selection of collaboration proposals as well as the promotion of matching and commercialization will be held online (Creww's platform). After approximately six months of the program, a results reporting session is scheduled to be held in July 2023.

Several local companies plan to participate in this program, and we have begun accepting entries for startups by WAKO Corporation, which has just been selected to participate in the program. We are planning to publish a list of local companies in the Machida area that are willing to participate in the open innovation program on the same website in the future.

We are mainly engaged in railway-related businesses, but we are also engaged in daily research and development to see if we can utilize the technologies we have cultivated and the products we have made use of in other fields as well. We would like to increase the number of our colleagues and create a manufacturing industry in which small and medium-sized enterprises can compete with large companies.
This year's theme is "The Challenge of Manufacturing in a New Era," and the challenge is to create businesses that will contribute to manufacturing, regional development, and the global environment, respectively.

The Machida New Industry Creation Center provides one-stop, meticulous support to people of all ages who wish to start or establish their own businesses, ranging from simple consultations regarding start-up and management, such as business plan preparation, to specialized consultations regarding sales channel expansion and financing, with experienced incubation managers on hand. We will continue to provide one-stop support and advice to our clients.
