About the Accelerator Program "SHIMZ NEXT
The vision of this program is "Let's create, and go beyond. This is an accelerator program for solving social issues that aims to create next-generation lifestyles and work styles and realize a carbon-neutral and resilient society, starting with manufacturing in the construction industry.
(1) Utilization of advanced technology from global
Promoting not only domestic startups but also overseas technologies that are leading the way in decarbonization, construction, and urban development to be deployed in Japan. We will work extensively with overseas offices of Shimizu Corporation and ReGACY Innovation Group, as well as with overseas VC firms.
(2) Support to social implementation
In order to realize social implementation of projects, we have established a promotion system that includes members with a high awareness of the issues involved from various departments so that the wide variety of Shimizu Corporation's assets can be utilized at an early stage. In addition, we are able to accelerate growth by utilizing PoC budget contributions and investment from CVC.
(3) Cross-industry initiatives
Co-creation with large corporations and local governments in all industries is essential to solving social issues. We take on the challenge of creating projects across industries by fully utilizing Shimizu Corporation's network of customers and partners.
In addition, we have secured a place for selected companies to exhibit at "City Tech. Tokyo," an event organized by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, as a DemoDay for the presentation of their achievements, thereby providing PR opportunities for a large number of participants from Japan and abroad.
This initiative will accept applications from participating startup companies from November 14 to December 16, and will conceptualize and verify co-creation ideas with the selected companies during the program period through March 2023.
After that, we will develop into a full-fledged collaboration, including joint commercialization and social implementation.
While utilizing Shimizu Corporation's own facilities and infrastructure as a demonstration area, the startup will lead the way in solving issues faced by the next generation of the construction industry and society through solutions that integrate the startup's cutting-edge services and technology.
