Features of the Project
Together, DNP and Lenovo Japan aim to create new educational opportunities and expand inquiry-based learning through the use of metaverse space.
This time, we will provide 3D metaverse, educational contents, online support staff, etc. to children and students in need of Japanese language instruction and truant students in the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. JMC Corporation, selected by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government as the project promoter and in charge of project management, as well as numerous partners and experts, will support the project with a wide variety of contents.
3D metaverse that runs comfortably on 0GIGA devices
We provide a three-dimensional (3D) metaverse that runs comfortably on a Web browser and enables realistic communication even with various information terminals, etc. used in the "GIGA School Concept "*2 promoted by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT).
The 3D metaverse allows the user to more realistically experience the size and movement of human avatars and various items in the space, which increases the sense of immersion in the space and motivates children and students to participate. In addition, students can express themselves richly through the reactions of various avatars.
0 Proven individualized learning content and special courses
Minna de Programming" is a web-based educational material that allows students to learn programming from block programming to text coding consistently at elementary, junior high, and high schools. This educational material, which enables students to learn while drawing out their interests, has already been used by more than 1 million users at elementary and junior high schools nationwide.
In addition, "Dekitas" from Jonan Preparatory Institute, Inc. will be provided as web-based learning content for elementary and junior high school students, which has a proven track record in supporting measures against truancy, "Surara" from Surara Net, Inc. will be provided for high school students, and "Surara Nihongo" for children and students with foreign roots or who need Japanese language instruction. By taking advantage of these teaching materials, children and students can study and self-study according to their own progress. In addition, a special course on Japanese language instruction by ECC Co.

0Events and seminars for parents that provide an opportunity for children and students to participate
Various events will be held as a mechanism to help children and students think about the connection between the 3D Metaverse and the real world. We will also hold career events for children and students who need Japanese language instruction, such as those with foreign roots, and various career path seminars for their parents. In the future, DNP will also plan tours of museums and tourist attractions using the facilities on the DNP-operated Metaverse.
Future Development
DNP and Lenovo Japan will use Metaverse to provide not only content for children and students who need Japanese language instruction or who are not attending school, but also educational services with higher experiential value to support the activities of local governments and educational sites nationwide.
