Sustainability-driven Japanese startups solve social issues around the world

This program aims to create innovation in regions facing challenges around the world by utilizing startups' technologies and services to realize sustainable and prosperous societies.

We accepted entries from startups with technologies and services that promote sustainability, such as "power, water, and food conservation," and received entries from a large number of startups. Ten startups have now been selected, and an announcement event was held on March 22, 2023.

In the future, we will provide English-language pitch training and lectures on marketing strategy development, which are necessary for startups to expand overseas, sessions focused on solving sustainability issues, and mentoring by external mentors and Google employees from around the world.

In addition, there will be an online roadshow during the third week of April to pitch to Google for Startups' international partner organizations, international investors, and cooperating institutions, and a demo day on August 30 to present the results of the program.
