Cogent Labs named to "AI 100"|CB Insights, an American research firm, selects the 100 most promising AI startups in the world.

Cogent Labs, a developer and provider of cutting-edge AI technology, was selected as one of the "AI 100," the world's 100 most promising AI startups in 2021, by CB Insights, an American research firm that conducts research and financial data collection and analysis for startup companies.

The AI 100 is selected from more than 6,000 startups based on multiple factors, including patent information, investor quality, news analysis, Mosaic score, a proprietary measure of a startup's growth potential, market potential, partnerships, competitive intelligence, team strength, and technology innovation. More than 50 of the 100 companies selected for 2020 have successfully raised additional funding (totaling US$5.2 billion). The AI 100 also includes promising AI startups each year, many of which have been acquired through mergers and acquisitions or listed on the stock market for further growth.
Cogent Labs has been selected for the 2021 AI 100 in recognition of its achievements in the research and development of cutting-edge AI technology that improves the productivity of intelligent workers and increases operational efficiency.

Overview of Cogent Labs' services based on research and development of cutting-edge AI technologies

(1) "Tegaki" - AI OCR service to convert diverse documents into data
Tegaki" is an AI OCR service that allows users to easily digitize and save a variety of documents by simply scanning and capturing them. Tegaki" improves operational efficiency and reduces costs by quickly and accurately recognizing characters written on forms used in all industries, including manufacturing, distribution, finance, medical, service, and education. Tegaki" is available in multiple languages, including Japanese, Korean, and English, and is deployed in cloud, on-premise, and edge versions that can be used via a web browser or API.

(2) "Kaidoku" - Natural Language Processing Platform
Kaidoku" is a natural language processing platform originally developed by Cogent Labs that enables the structuring and advanced analysis of linguistic information. It can not only understand documents, but also analyze time-series information, which is essential for understanding trends and causal relationships.
Currently, this "Kaidoku" is being used to provide "Kaidoku SmartFind," a search service that enables efficient access to and analysis of information assets within a company.
