After a series of measures to create products that transcend the boundaries of art, music, and fashion, the company has collaborated with three artists for the general release of the product. EbRu, an art unit that produces "Antique stamps," Mirai Nagai, a metalwork artist who produces "Argent," and Yasuka Kojima, a lacquer artist who produces "URUSHI Creatures," will offer a limited number of 9 variations for order.
The innovative sound art piece that sets itself apart from ordinary earphones was born, allowing users to enjoy a variety of artwork on their ears like jewelry. To commemorate the launch, a newly shot image PV was also released for the first time!

Local and new luxury one-of-a-kind earphones
Many people like to appreciate artwork, but have never purchased a piece of art. EARMIND earphones are a completely new type of wireless earphones that allow you to wear your own art piece as jewelry while enjoying your music.
EARMIND is a brand of earphones accompanied by art pieces produced by hand by artists and craftsmen. The special production process, in which art pieces are made after receiving an order, produces "Sound art pieces®," which are completely different from conventional mass-produced earphones.
Because they are one-of-a-kind, including the craftwork of artists and artisans, they are high-end, premium products with a limited number of pieces that can be produced at one time.
Sound Art Piece brings an unprecedented user experience of art, music, and fashion all in one place.

EBRU Corporation, which operates EARMIND, utilizes the styles and specialties of the artists and craftsmen who work in the Art Piece Department to create sound art pieces that are meticulously detailed one by one.

Why Art and Earphones? A whole new approach to enjoying culture
By connecting the completely different fields of art and earphones from the "cultural" perspective of art and music, the two different fields will intermingle and create a different value.
Earphones are a device to enjoy music, and art is a fashionable way to enjoy music. EARMIND was born with the hope that many people will experience culture from a new perspective and enjoy their daily lives in a more personal and enriching way.

Launch Story / From Artist to Entrepreneur: Aiming for a Startup in the Art Field
EBRU Corporation, which operates EARMIND, is run by three classmates who graduated from the Kanazawa College of Art's Department of Crafts. While still in school, the three students worked together as an art unit to create and present their artwork.
After graduating from art school, they took a break from their activities, but reunited as a unit to solve the social and economic problems they faced in the manufacturing industries of fashion, modeling, and ceramics, where they each advanced, and started their own business in 2021. Being makers themselves, they are deeply involved with artists and craftspeople, and ensure that they make the most of what they have to offer.
The three artists won an award at the International talent support (ITS) 2020, a global fashion competition, for their work using earphones, the predecessor of EARMIND. Inspired by their award-winning works, they launched the EARMIND earphone brand to make art accessible to as many people as possible.

The company succeeded in raising 14 million yen through advance order sales on Makuake and equity investment-type crowdfunding FUNDINNO. The company's representative, Rei Sato, was selected as one of the "MOVE ON NEXT LEADERS 2022" by WWD JAPAN and LUMINE, and the product attracted attention even before its general release, giving it a major boost as a start-up company in the art field.
After overcoming many difficulties such as changes in manufacturing plants, the global shortage of semiconductors, and the Corona disaster, we have finally started to accept orders from the general public after 3 years since the conception of this new product.
Enriching the Japanese art market
In Japan, there are many artists who, despite their excellent works and craftsmanship, have given up on continuing to produce their works due to economic difficulties, and there are many craft centers that are suffering from a lack of successors.
The art market in Japan, where the culture of enjoying arts and crafts is less developed than in the West, accounts for only 3.71 TP3T of the global market (Exhibit: Agency for Cultural Affairs, 2021).
EARMIND is a company that promotes art in daily life by combining earphones that can be used in daily life with art. In the future, EARMIND hopes to expand its co-creation with artists and craftsmen not only in Japan but also around the world.

In addition to the 9 variations of sound art pieces available this time, we will continue to sell sound art pieces created by various artists and craftsmen on order for a limited time and in limited quantities.

Newly shot PV to commemorate the start of order sales
Image PV expressing the world view of EARMIND (https://youtu.be/UMlXGs0NlxU) for the first time with the start of general orders.
The PV tells the story of a woman who visits a Western-style house and, under the guidance of the owner, wears a sound art piece that she picks up and discovers her true self.
The woman in the PV wears "Argent" by Mirai Nagai, a goldsmith who will be selling a limited number of pieces on order. It is a gem made of 950 silver that shines with Mirai Nagai's engraving technique. The video was shot in the historic Otemachi Western-style house in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture, which has ties with the collaborating artists, and was shot in a world where old and new cultures mingle.
