Newly ranked companies in the domestic startup funding ranking for January-July 2022 include Arum, which ranked first, Tearfour, and AnyMind Group, for a total of three companies.
Newly ranked in first place, Arum offers "Join", a communication application for medical professionals. Join" enables real-time communication between medical professionals through a combination of mobile and cloud computing, and can also share necessary medical information by linking with PACS (medical image management system) and other systems. In July 2022, the company raised 24.7 billion yen through a third-party allocation of new shares with DeNA and Seibu Realty Solutions as the underwriters. The company plans to accelerate DX in the medical and nursing care field by developing new solutions specialized in telemedicine, and to expand and grow its business in Japan and overseas with the aim of further global expansion.
Newly ranked in third place, Tearfour offers "Autoware," open source software for automated driving systems. In July 2022, the company raised a total of 5 billion yen through an overdraft facility of 1 billion yen from Mizuho Bank, and third-party allotment of new shares to JIC Venture Growth Fund No.1 Investment Limited Partnership, JP Investment No.1 Investment Limited Partnership, Proto Ventures No.2 Investment Limited Partnership, Mitsubishi UFJ Capital No.7 Investment Limited Partnership, and Japan Growth Capital.
