The movement toward decarbonization is accelerating globally, and listed companies in particular are increasingly required to disclose climate-related financial information along with their financial statements. Many companies are faced with the complexity of the data collection and calculation process.
Our cloud service "zeroboard," which enables calculation of CO₂ emissions from corporate activities and visualization of Scope 1~3 in the GHG Protocol, an international standard, is used for decarbonization solutions provided by power and gas companies and financial institutions on the strength of its ability to promote primary data acquisition with the involvement of suppliers. It is used for decarbonization solutions provided by electric power and gas companies and financial institutions.
The collaboration will provide decarbonization solutions using "zeroboard" mainly to Iwatani Corporation's corporate clients. Specifically, they will propose J-credit trading, in which environmental value extracted from CO₂ reductions by small- and medium-sized corporate customers is used to reduce CO₂ emissions by large companies, and simplified CO₂ emissions calculation work and planned CO₂ reduction solutions for manufacturing industry customers.
Service Overview
(1) Valorization of CO₂ reductions through the J-Credit system
Name: Iwatani J-Credit Project
Description: Iwatani compiles the amount of CO₂ emissions reduced by subscribing customers and applies for J-credit certification, allowing customers to participate in the system without the hassle and cost of certification procedures. By making the excess CO₂ reductions into environmental value, the system can further promote CO₂ reduction activities at small and medium-sized companies, etc.
Target: Customers who install high-efficiency boilers and use LP gas, LNG, or city gas as boiler fuel
CO2 emissions calculation and visualization service
Description: Linking the gas and electricity consumption of each company to "zeroboard," a cloud service for calculating and visualizing CO₂ emissions, simplifies the process of emissions calculation and enables integrated management.
In addition, the company plans to add a CO₂ reduction proposal simulation function to "zeroboard," which will enable effective and systematic reduction plan proposals.
Target: Customers mainly in the manufacturing industry
