Gakken Group establishes a new digital company, Gakken LEAP! |Creating next-generation businesses in education by utilizing cutting-edge technology

Gakken Holdings established Gakken LEAP on December 1, 2021 to accelerate digital transformation, which is a growth strategy in the group's mid-term management plan "Gakken 2023.

The Gakken Group established the Digital Business Division within Gakken Holdings in 2020 as a specialized organization to collectively support the operation and utilization of the Group's digital business infrastructure, with the aim of increasing added value and productivity through the use of digital technology, and has been working on reform by gathering DX human resources from both inside and outside the company, The new company was established for the purpose of creating next-generation new businesses represented by Ed-Tech. The goal is to achieve dramatic growth by incorporating capabilities in business development, data analysis, and prototype development using cutting-edge technologies.

Gakken LEAP will make a digital investment of 20 billion yen by 2025, team up with cutting-edge IT architects and engineers, invest in start-ups in Japan and abroad, and create new services that contribute to next-generation education through collaboration with businesses that have a high affinity for this field.

Through Gakken LEAP, Gakken Group companies will expand the number of partners, including cutting-edge technology start-ups, and accumulate knowledge and expertise in new technologies, leading to the creation of new businesses.
