Hiroshima Prefecture Sponsors "EC D-EGGS" Program|Soliciting New Normal Retail Business Models and Supporting Their Commercialization

Samurai Incubate has been contracted to provide secretariat services and support for "EC D-EGGS," a program sponsored by Hiroshima Prefecture that invites retail businesses in Hiroshima Prefecture that wish to take on the challenge of creating retail business models that respond to the new normal, and provides commercialization support to help them realize their goals.

Intention to implement the commercialization support program "EC D-EGGS

The project will support the materialization and elaboration of business ideas, as well as the search for and matching of business partners, and will also accompany the project after it is adopted.
By providing support to selected retailers, the project aims to create a ripple effect on the entire retail industry by enabling the development of new retail business models among retailers in the prefecture, in addition to creating economic benefits for many trading businesses.
Samurai Incubate will be responsible for soliciting retailers for the program, selecting the selected retailers, supporting the selected retailers in their EC business development, and other related work.

As part of the "SAMURAI VISION 2030"*, a vision to be implemented over the next 10 years, Samurai Incubate aims to create businesses by supporting various forms of co-creation to solve issues faced by people around the world. Utilizing the know-how we have cultivated in creating and materializing businesses from 0 to 1, we will continue to provide support for "EC D-EGGS" with the aim of creating businesses that solve social and regional issues.

Key Points of this Program

1. Subsidy for ample commercialization expenses (subsidy rate: 9/10, total subsidy amount: 180 million yen)
The final selected retailers in the prefecture will receive a subsidy of 9/10, 20 million yen or more per company, or 180 million yen in total, for innovative business expenses to develop and expand domestic and international sales channels and increase sales by utilizing EC.
(*The applicant must apply with a business idea that will result in a subsidy amount of 20 million yen or more.)

Examples of expenses eligible for subsidies
Marketing consulting, promotion, website construction (improvement), e-commerce site opening, event hosting, venue rental, shipping, etc.

(2) Specifics of the business plan by an expert
Able to materialize and elaborate business plans from the perspective of experts who are familiar with business planning

3. Business partner matching using the Hiroshima platform
Support for identifying necessary partner requirements, searching for and matching potential partners through matching websites and our VC network, for which we serve as the secretariat.

4. Commercialization accompaniment by experts
Hands-on support from seed VC professionals with expertise in business startup to ensure steady completion of the plan
