The three projects, which were adopted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, bring the total number of projects adopted by the Ministry to four, following the program to provide curriculum to Tsurugashima Seifu High School to help students cope with vacant houses.

We will work with local governments and companies to address vacant houses in Saitama Prefecture.
According to the 2018 Housing and Land Survey, there are 346,000 vacant houses in Saitama Prefecture, a decrease from the 2012 survey, but the number of vacant houses with no intended use has increased to 124,000. LaboTama, in cooperation with local governments, companies, and organizations, will work on measures to address vacant houses according to local needs and help realize Saitama, the most comfortable place to live in Japan.

Adopted Project 1] Fukaya City
The data analysis service provided by Microbase, Inc. will be used to efficiently identify homeowners before their homes become vacant. In addition, Fukaya City, Labotama, and Saitama Resona Bank Fukaya Branch will work together to establish a consultation system to help solve the problem of vacant houses in the city.

Adopted Project 2] Yorii Town
We will collaborate with local development players in Yorii Town by utilizing the "Traveler*2" platform owned by SAGOJO Co. We will work to build a model that contributes to the promotion of the utilization of vacant houses by realizing "tourism + new ways of working" and conducting regional promotion using vacant houses as a base of stay.

Adopted Project (3)] All of Saitama Prefecture
We will build a network and information dissemination platform for organizations and businesses involved in vacant house countermeasures in the prefecture. The goal is to contribute to local efforts to address vacant houses by disseminating information on a wide range of initiatives by various organizations and businesses*3.

1 A project in which the national government provides direct support for highly model-like efforts to utilize vacant houses through the ingenuity of NPOs, private businesses, and other organizations, with the aim of expanding the results of such efforts nationwide.
2 People who are registered on the platform operated by SAGOJO Inc. and have the desire and skills to "travel to the region and use their own skills to help solve issues in the region".
3 LaboTama, as a member, supports this project promoted by the Tagayasu Council and participates in this project as a co-operator of the platform.
