APT Women, Tokyo Metropolitan Government's project to promote the growth of women's ventures, is recruiting students for its 8th term!

One of the largest support programs in Japan dedicated to women entrepreneurs

The domestic program provides growth-oriented women ventures with a three-month program of group mentoring, lectures, and other programs that enable them to acquire the management knowledge, skills, and networks necessary for scaling up and overseas expansion.
In addition, the selected participants will be offered an overseas program to visit startup-related people and facilities in Silicon Valley and Singapore to support female entrepreneurs who aim to make their mark on the world from Tokyo.

APT Women is Japan's largest program dedicated to supporting women entrepreneurs, having selected 200 companies to date, raising a total of approximately 14.8 billion yen in funding, collaborating with more than 616 major companies, and expanding overseas in more than 58 cases.

In addition, a kick-off event will be held on September 8, 2023 (Friday), with 40 students who have passed a rigorous screening process as speakers, prior to the start of the 8th term program.

The guest speaker, Ms. Ayako Ishikawa (CEO, Mitsumoa Corporation), will share her own experience and a message for female entrepreneurs who are looking to start or expand their businesses.

This event can be viewed online by anyone interested in assisting startups or considering starting a business.

What is APT Women?

APT Women is a program that provides a variety of venues and opportunities for women in Tokyo who want to start a business or grow as a business owner to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to manage and scale up their business, and to meet and collaborate with like-minded entrepreneurs and collaborators and supporters who can accelerate their businesses. Outline of the 8th term student recruitment

After attending the program, female ventures will be recruited to serve as role models for women who have already started or may start their own businesses in Tokyo, to foster a growth orientation among women living in Tokyo, and to show today's women a new lifestyle option: entrepreneurship.

There are no industry restrictions on applications. We look forward to receiving applications from many growth-oriented female venturers.

[Eligibility.
Women who are representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that have been in business for less than 10 years (including second startups less than 10 years after the release of a new service) or women who plan to start their own business in Tokyo.
Including incorporated associations, limited liability companies, sole proprietorships, NPOs, etc. *Only those who are expanding their business in Tokyo or have plans to expand their business into Tokyo are eligible to apply.

We offer event-based programs (workshops), lecture-based programs (seminars), group mentoring by mentors, and pitch sessions (networking through the execution of pitches).

◾️Overseas Program Overview
Approximately 20 participants will be selected from the domestic program participants and sent to overseas cities where venture support is active (Silicon Valley and Singapore are planned for this fiscal year) for approximately 10 days to gain a foothold in the overseas market.
