OK Junction begins collaboration with YOXO BOX, Yokohama's startup growth support base!

Background to the collaboration

The name YOXO BOX (よくぞボックス) is an abbreviation of YOXO "YOKOHAMA CROSS OVER" with the meaning of becoming a sandbox (sandbox = experimental field) for creating new exchanges.
In order to create new innovations from Yokohama, under the banner of the logo mark YOXO (well), we have formed opportunities for the exchange of innovative human resources in cooperation with various companies and universities, including R&D centers in the Minatomirai area.
In addition, we offer various programs to help startups grow and develop, such as brushing up their business models, matching them with business companies, and raising funds from investors and other sources.

Sustainable growth of regional economies has been one of the challenges facing our country. It has long been considered necessary to establish solutions through various methods, such as the formation of regional ecosystems through start-ups and economic revitalization through the creation of new businesses that leverage regional assets.
As OKJCT, whose concept is to "connect," "link," and "connect," not to mention support by providing content as a mentor, we hope to spread such initiatives throughout Japan by fully utilizing our nationwide network.

I have long wanted to do something in Yokohama, a city with which I have a strong connection. I am very pleased that Mitsubishi Estate has approached me about this project. OKJCT has accumulated a great deal of knowledge through our previous projects, such as "community building at innovation centers" and "cooperation in creating a startup ecosystem. I am very excited to be able to utilize them to create another new role model. We will continue to create new value-oriented events and new communities, and work to create sustainable content, not only for OKJCT, but also for many area companies, local governments, and related organizations, based on the philosophy of open innovation. We will continue to promote these activities in the future.
