FY2022 Sports Industry Growth Promotion Project "Sports Open Innovation Promotion Project (Formation of Advanced Regional SOIP)

The "Follow-up to the Growth Strategy*" states that one of the measures for "regional revitalization with sports at its core" is to "promote the establishment of regional SOIPs that encourage community development and the creation of high value-added services through collaboration between local professional sports teams, companies, universities, and other organizations.

The Sports Agency has been working to promote the establishment of SOIP,
(1) Holding conferences to share information on advanced cases and promote personal exchanges among companies, universities, sports organizations, etc.
(2) Acceleration programs for the creation and social implementation of new businesses through collaboration between sports organizations and start-ups, etc.
(iii) Hold a contest for the purpose of verifying advanced businesses originating in Japan and accelerating their commercialization in terms of market development, financing, and other aspects.
I have been there.

This project aims to support the formation of advanced examples of regional SOIPs through an acceleration program that uses professional sports teams and other organizations as innovation platforms, and to develop a foundation for the establishment of regional SOIPs in each region of Japan. The program is designed to support the formation of advanced examples of regional SOIPs through an acceleration program that uses professional sports teams as innovation platforms.
