Startup World Cup 2023" Japan Qualifier Held! Special investment prizes totaling 100 million yen will be awarded.

The Japan preliminary rounds of Startup World Cup 2023, one of the world's largest business pitch contests, will be held in Kyoto on Thursday, July 6 and in Tokyo on Friday, September 8, bringing together innovative startups from more than 50 countries and regions around the world!
To our surprise, a special investment prize of 100 million yen in total will be awarded to all startups that enter this Japan Qualifier. Many major business companies are cooperating and sponsoring this event to boost innovation in Japan, and it will be a great step forward for startups to have a chance at business opportunities.

Special prizes in the Japan Preliminary Round to be decided this time

SEGA SAMMY Group Award
(Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President and Group CEO: Harunori Satomi; hereinafter "SEGA SAMMY"), a leading comprehensive entertainment company, will present the "SEGA SAMMY Group Prize" of 50 million yen for investment to a startup selected by the company.

The Japanette Group Award
(Head office: Sasebo City, Nagasaki Prefecture; President and CEO: Asahito Takada; hereafter "Japan Net"), which owns the major mail-order sales company Japan Net Takata Co. The company will award 50 million yen as the "Japanet Group Prize" to a startup selected by Japanet Holdings.
