Creww and Shinagawa Ward launched the "Shinagawa New Business Creation (Business Co-Creation) Program 2023" on July 24, 2023, with the aim of contributing to sustainable economic development of the local community through open innovation between manufacturing companies in Shinagawa Ward and start-ups nationwide!

About "Shinagawa New Business Creation (Business Co-Creation) Program 2023

This program is designed to promote the creation of new businesses and innovation in existing businesses by leveraging the manufacturing technologies and diverse and abundant management resources of four companies in Shinagawa Ward (Techno Axel Networks Corporation, Fine Corporation, Yamashita Systems Corporation, and Yamashita Electric Corporation (in alphabetical order)) with the innovative ideas and new technologies of start-ups from across Japan. The purpose of this program is to promote the creation of new businesses and innovation in existing businesses.

The Gotanda-Osaki area of Shinagawa Ward is known as "Gotanda Valley" because of its concentration of IT start-ups. With the aim of creating and supporting industries in the small and medium manufacturing industry, which is a major industry in the ward, this program will contribute to further revitalization of industries in the ward by promoting open innovation between manufacturing companies in the ward and startup companies nationwide, including Gotanda Valley.

In conjunction with the launch of this program, a dedicated website will be opened on the Creww website to begin soliciting collaboration proposals from startups nationwide. The selection of collaboration proposals, matching, and promotion of commercialization will be conducted online (on the Creww platform). Under this program, the cost of the demonstration experiment to verify the collaboration proposal for commercialization will be partially supported by Shinagawa Ward.

After about six months of the program, a presentation of the results is scheduled to be held in March 2024.
